Reed & Canvas began with a simple belief: the backdrop should feel just as intentional as the portrait created in front of it.

Color, texture, scale, and movement all affect the way a portrait feels. Our backdrops are thoughtfully designed to complement the subject without competing for attention, giving photographers a rich visual foundation while allowing the people in front of the camera to remain the heart of the image.

Every Reed & Canvas backdrop is painted by hand, one at a time.
